This increasing trend of owners and developers forming alliances and joint ventures with equity capital providers is borne out of a desire by capital providers who are looking to deploy large amounts of capital on a platform basis rather than underwriting one off deals. Operators conversely are interested in aligning with a single source of immediately accessible capital for their acquisitions and developments.

- Closed $200 million equity commitment from a major pension fund for a Hospitality Fund managed by a notable hotel owner/operator that will acquire value-added opportunities as well as select development opportunities throughout the southeast United States and in growth oriented markets internationally (this operator has already acquired seven hotel assets with the Fund’s capital);

- Presently closing a commitment for $250 million of discretionary equity capital for an existing, highly-successful industrial owner, operator and developer. The Fund will enable the Sponsor to expand its acquisitions and developments in the western United States.

Closed the first tranche of equity (and assets) on behalf of a U.S.-based operator to be used to opportunistically acquire multi-family residential apartment assets throughout Germany. The venture recently closed on a portfolio of multi-family assets in Berlin.

Negotiating application for a $150 million equity commitment for a Fund run by a national multi family owner/manager for its continued acquisition of stabilized and opportunistic multi-family properties throughout the United States.

Exclusive assignment to raise $100 million of equity for a Fund on behalf of an existing, highly successful student-housing owner and operator for the expansion of their existing acquisition platform.
